Create a Google Alert

  1. Visit this page.
  2. In the "Create an alert about" box, enter the words you want to get email notifications for.
  3. Click Show options to say how often you get alerts, what types of results you want to get, and more.
  4. Click Create Alert.
  5. Once your alert is set up, you'll start getting emails any time we find new search results for your keywords.

How to remove images or content


1. What social networking and/or image-sharing sites/apps do you use?


2. How likely would you be to respond in the following ways to a situation where an inappropriate image of yourself has been posted/shared/sent without your consent?
(1 being ‘not at all likely’ and 7 being ‘extremely likely’)

  1. Tell/ask friends for advice
  2. If you know who is sharing the image, ask them to stop sharing/delete the image
  3. Tell/ask your parents for advice
  4. Tell/ask close relatives such as your brothers or sisters

  6. Tell/ask a school counsellor for advice

  9. If the image is on a social networking site/app, ask for the image to be removed
